Acrobatics, trapeze, tumbling, and contortion combine with the nearly lost art of ‘tossing-the-girl’ as taught to the ensemble by Australian circus elder, Clete Ball. These circus skills have been shaped with Circa’s unique sensibility to create a extraordinarily moving piece about our individual relationships with the heavens.

Regarding the Joy of Others is a transcontinental series of events, each featuring an extended solo trapeze routine, a soundscape and visual environment.

The Space Between

Timepieces

In Timepieces, Circa breaks new ground by combining dance, circus and multi-media into a new hybrid art. Great bodies, arresting images and a sculpted soundtrack makes this a show not to be missed.

Furioso

From the moment it begins, Furioso teems with life. Turbulent duets, bodies that splat and slam and incredible twists on familiar acts all feature. Set to contemporary string music (including Gavin Bryars, Fleshquartet and Aphex Twin), this ensemble piece is both exhilarating and mesmerizingly beautiful.
