Since 2006, Circa has taken its vision of re-imagining circus as a contemporary artform to 18 countries across 5 continents. We perform to around 50 000 people a year and provide over 8000 workshop places to people of all ages and skill levels. Our work has been hailed as “a breathless barrage and banquet of circus pandemonium” (City News, Australia) that “redrawing the limits to which circus can aspire” (The Age, Australia).
Based in Brisbane, working throughout Queensland, around Australia and across the world, Circa offers utterly new ways of experiencing the awe-inspiring world of circus. Combining physically impossible skills with a poetic sensibility, its works amaze, astonish and move audiences.
